m4mentor pairs students preparing for exams with a personal mentor. This page explains what we collect, why, and who can see it.
What we collect
- Your account: your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, Google shares only these and your profile picture. We never see your Google password or your Gmail, Drive or other Google data.
- Study details you give us: your exam date, preferred session times and language.
- Your practice: your answers, time taken, how confident you felt, your reflection notes and your test scores.
Why we collect it
To run your daily sessions and weekly tests, to plan your revision, and so your mentor can see how you are doing and guide you in your 1:1s.
AI support for your mentor
m4mentor can give your mentor AI support, and you choose whether to use it. An AI drafts notes from your learning data, such as a prep note before your call, so your mentor can guide you well. Without it you get the same lessons and mentor, and nothing is sent to an AI. Your mentor checks every draft. Marks, plan changes and the reasons for mistakes are never decided by the AI.
- Provider: Anthropic. It processes the data outside India, does not use it to train AI models, and works under a data processing agreement with us. It deletes what we send within 30 days, unless it must keep it longer to enforce its usage policy or by law.
- What is sent: results of your answers, marks, confidence tags, recorded times, the topics you studied and your lesson feedback choices, under a one-off reference.
- What is never sent: your name, email, phone number, photo, account details, call times or anything you type yourself.
- Changing your mind: turn AI support on, or use “Withdraw AI consent”, at any time in your account settings; withdrawing takes effect at once and keeps your account. “Delete my account” deletes your account and data after 7 days; until then you can download your data, talk to your mentor or keep your account.
Who can see it
You, your assigned mentor and the head mentor. Other students never see your data. We do not sell your data, show ads or share it with anyone else, except the services that run the app for us: the AI provider above, and the hosting below.
Where it is kept
Your data is stored with Supabase in their Mumbai, India data centre. The app is hosted by Vercel. Both keep it secure and use it only to run m4mentor.
Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can update your details in the app at any time. Your account settings let you download a copy of your data, turn AI support on or off, or delete your account. You can also email us at support@m4mentor.com. We will do it within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app before the change applies to you.
